Ministerio de Economía (Ministry of Economy) Argentina is responsible for all matters related to economic, budgetary, and tax policy. It oversees public finance administration, economic relations with provinces and Buenos Aires, and the development of productive sectors like industry, commerce, agriculture, livestock, and fishing. The ministry also handles the execution of national policies on energy, mining, public works, infrastructure, national water policy, air, rail, road, river, and maritime transport. It was initially known as the Ministry of the Treasury, but undergone various changes and restructurings over the years to form in its current name.
